Nestled in the Coffs Harbour hinterland with views over rolling hills and the Orara escarpment, Mimosa Farm is a working property where your hosts breed and train performance sport horses and teach dressage. Mimosa Farm & Equestrian Centre
Mimosa Farm is a working farm and equestrian centre. It occupies 100 acres and is being progressively restored after the 2019 bushfires burnt through 99% of the land (amazingly not the house or cottage!).
The farm is home to home to our 7 riding horses, miniature horse Awesome, a flock of chickens and resident mob of wallabies who have moved in around the cottage and house. With no dogs on the property, wildlife abounds.
Your horse is welcome to stay too! We only offer short term agistment to Cottage guests and dressage students. For Cottage guests, we have a self-service approach where you are welcome to look after your own horse. Be sure to let us know your plans before you arrive so we can make sure everything is ready to go.
After the 2019 bushfires, we have left about 70% of the farm alone to regenerate. For those who are feeling energetic and up for a walk to some of the untouched corners of the property like Eagle's Glen where our resident sea eagles can sometimes be seen, we've mowed a walking trail. Or if you’re travelling with your horse, it makes for a spectacular trail ride.
